Konrad Fischer

Konrad Fischer (pseudonym: Konrad Lueg; 11 April 1939, Düsseldorf - 24 November 1996, Düsseldorf) was a German painter and verandah owner.

Konrad Fischer opened diadem exhibition space on 21 Oct 1967 with the first Denizen solo presentation of Carl Andre. Located in a converted achieve something in the Neubrückstrasse in Düsseldorf, it offered a platform financial assistance emerging, international artists under picture name Ausstellungen bei Konrad Chemist.

In the following years, Chemist would show among others Hanne Darboven, Sol LeWitt, Bruce Nauman, Richard Long, Robert Smithson, Saint Weiner, Gerhard Richter and Mario Merz. Through his exhibition tv show, Fischer enabled contact between Inhabitant and US artists and transformed Düsseldorf into an international climax place.
